Sales tax, same-day delivery, trip fees for farther towns and extra cleanings are the only lines that can add to the price.

What five things set the price of a porta potty rental?
Five things set the price of a porta potty rental: the delivery location, the unit type, your dates, how often the unit gets serviced, and how many units you order. Location and unit type move the price the most. A deluxe flushing unit costs about $110 to $125 more than a standard unit for an event.
1. Location
Sites in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Cleveland and the nearby Georgia towns get delivery and pickup at no added cost. Farther towns pay one flat trip fee. Steep drives and tight gates do not add a fee, but they change where the unit can sit.
2. Unit type
A standard porta potty is the lowest-cost toilet. Flushing, sinks, wheelchair access and trailers each add to the price, because the units are larger or carry fresh water.
3. Dates
Events are priced for the Friday-to-Monday window. Long jobs are priced per 28-day cycle. Same-day orders add a fee, so ordering a day ahead saves money.
4. Servicing
Weekly service is part of every 28-day rental. A second visit each week costs extra, and it is worth it for big crews or July and August heat.
5. Quantity
Each unit is priced on its own, but orders of 5 or more units get a multi-unit rate. Not sure of the count? Use the porta potty sizing guide and calculator.
How does 28-day billing work compared with a calendar month?
Long-term porta potty rentals are billed every 28 days, not by calendar month. That means 13 billing cycles in a year instead of 12. The cycle renews on its own until you call for pickup, and billing stops on the day you call. Weekly service is included in each 28-day cycle.
Here is how the dates line up. A unit delivered on March 3 starts its next cycle on March 31, not April 3. Mark the renewal dates on your calendar so the bill never surprises you.
A 28-day cycle matches 4 weekly service visits exactly. That is why construction rentals use it. See how weekly service works on the construction porta potty rental page.
How much do same-day delivery and extra service visits cost?
Same-day delivery adds a fee of $50 to $95, based on how far the site is from our yard on Tag Road. Order by 12 PM on a weekday to get it. An extra service visit, on top of the included weekly visit, costs $45 to $65 per unit.
Orders placed after noon go out the next morning. Read more on the same-day porta potty rental page.
Extra service makes sense when 10 or more workers share each unit, or during July and August heat. Event units arrive clean and stocked. For events longer than 2 days, you can add a mid-event service visit.
Which delivery areas add a trip fee?
Delivery and pickup are included in Chattanooga, all of Hamilton County, East Ridge, Rossville, Fort Oglethorpe, Ringgold and Cleveland. Sites in 8 farther towns, such as Jasper, Dayton and LaFayette, pay one flat trip fee. We tell you the exact trip fee before you book.
| Delivery and pickup | Towns |
|---|---|
| Included in the price | Chattanooga, all of Hamilton County, East Ridge, Rossville, Fort Oglethorpe, Ringgold, Cleveland |
| One flat trip fee, told before you book | Jasper, Kimball, South Pittsburg, Trenton, LaFayette, Chickamauga, Dunlap, Dayton |

How much sales tax is added to a porta potty rental?
Tennessee sales tax of 9.25% applies to rentals delivered in Hamilton County. Georgia sites, such as Ringgold or Rossville, are taxed at the Georgia county rate for that address. Your quote shows tax on its own line. Churches, schools and nonprofits can ask about tax-exempt certificates.
The tax exemption is applied once a valid certificate is on file with us. Send it before delivery day so the first bill is right.
When do you pay, and what if you cancel?
Event rentals are paid in full at booking, and construction rentals pay the first 28-day cycle at delivery. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before delivery. Inside 48 hours, a $50 trip fee applies. Once a unit is delivered, the event price is earned.
We take credit cards, debit cards and checks. Business accounts can be invoiced. There is no card fee.

How can you lower the cost of a porta potty rental?
You can lower the cost of a porta potty rental in 4 ways. Plan around the included Friday-to-Monday window. Pair standard units with 1 shared hand washing station instead of deluxe units. Book May to October weekends early. Put 5 or more units on one order to get the multi-unit rate.
- Use the full Friday-to-Monday window. A Saturday party and a Sunday cleanup both fit inside one event price. There is no charge per day.
- Share 1 hand washing station. Two deluxe units run $550 to $700 for an event. Two standard units plus 1 hand washing station run $425 to $600, and guests still get soap and water.
- Book early for May to October weekends. Those weekends fill first. Booking a day or more ahead also skips the $50 to $95 same-day fee.
- Order 5 or more units at once. Festivals, tournaments and builders with several lots get a multi-unit rate.
- Send your tax-exempt certificate. Churches, schools and nonprofits save the 9.25% Tennessee sales tax when a certificate is on file.

What does a sample porta potty quote look like?
Here is a hypothetical quote for a 90-guest backyard graduation party in Hixson that lasts up to 4 hours and serves food. The plan is 2 standard units and 1 hand washing station, Friday to Monday. The total comes to $557.18 with Tennessee sales tax. Real quotes depend on your site.
| Line item | Qty | Price each | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard porta potty, weekend event (Fri–Mon) | 2 | $195.00 | $390.00 |
| Hand washing station, weekend event | 1 | $120.00 | $120.00 |
| Delivery and pickup, Hixson (core area) | 1 | Included | $0.00 |
| Fuel surcharge, card fee, removal fee | – | None | $0.00 |
| Subtotal | $510.00 | ||
| Tennessee sales tax, 9.25% (Hamilton County) | $47.18 | ||
| Total | $557.18 |
Why 2 units? The industry chart gives 1 unit per 50 guests for up to 4 hours, and 90 guests rounds up to 2. Food adds 1 hand washing station for every 5 toilets, with a minimum of 1.
This example is made up to show the format. The prices fall inside our 2026 ranges, but they are not a quote. A site in Jasper or Dayton would add one flat trip fee.
What else do people ask about porta potty prices?
People most often ask whether the price is per day, why a 3-hour party costs the same as a weekend, and what a long remodel costs. The short answers: event prices cover Friday to Monday, and long-term units bill once every 28 days. Here are 7 more answers.
Is a porta potty rental priced per day or for the whole weekend?
An event porta potty is priced for the whole Friday-to-Monday window, not per day. A standard unit runs $165 to $225 for that window, with delivery and pickup included in our core area.
Long-term rentals use a different price: one charge per 28-day cycle, with weekly cleaning included.
Why does a porta potty for a 3-hour party cost the same as a weekend?
Most of the cost of a rental is the truck trip out, the trip back and cleaning the unit at the yard. Those costs are the same for 3 hours or 3 days. That is why one event price covers a Friday drop and a Monday pickup.
Can I get a lower price if I rent 6 porta potties for a festival?
Orders of 5 or more units on one order get a multi-unit rate. Give us the guest count, the hours and whether alcohol is served. We will price the full mix, including wheelchair-accessible units and hand washing stations, on one quote.
Do you charge extra to haul the unit away at the end?
There is no removal fee at the end of a rental. Pickup is already part of the price. We also do not add a fuel surcharge or a card fee, so the total on your quote is the total you pay.
Is a deluxe flushing unit worth the extra cost for a backyard party?
A deluxe flushing unit costs $275 to $350 for an event, about $110 to $125 more than a standard unit. The extra buys a foot-pump flush and a sink inside. It is worth it when guests are dressed up. For a casual cookout, a standard unit does the job.
Compare both on the deluxe flushing porta potty page.
How much does a porta potty cost for a 3-month home remodel?
A standard porta potty costs $145 to $195 per 28-day cycle, plus tax. A 3-month remodel usually spans 3 to 4 cycles, depending on the start and end dates. Weekly service is included, and billing stops the day you call for pickup.
See the home and remodel rental page for placement tips.
How much does a wheelchair-accessible unit add to an event order?
A wheelchair-accessible unit costs $225 to $295 for a weekend event, or $195 to $260 per 28-day cycle. Plan at least 1 accessible unit in each group of toilets at a public event. The unit needs a flat, firm pad about 7.5 feet square.
