How many porta potties does your event need?

Up to 4 hours

Plan 1 unit for every 50 guests at the busiest point.

Longer events need more

5 to 6 hours: 1 per 40 guests. 7 to 8 hours: 1 per 32. Over 8 hours: 1 per 25.

Serving alcohol?

Add 1 unit for every 5 units on your count.

Serving food?

Add 1 hand wash station for every 5 toilets, with at least 1.

Wheelchair access

At least 5% of units in each cluster, minimum 1, should be wheelchair-accessible (2010 ADA Standards 213.2).

Example

100 guests for 4 hours, no alcohol: 100 / 50 = 2 standard units.
